Historique :	Ce Christ situé autrefois à l'extérieur de l'église proviendrait du prieuré d'Escalmels. Autrefois, couvent des Augustins, l'établissement religieux d'Escalmels devint prieuré après les guerres de religion et subsista jusqu'à la Révolution.

Précision_sur la representation :	Le Christ a les bras très grands ouverts presque à l'horizontale. La tête est très légèrement inclinée sur l'épaule droite. Les jambes sont pas parallèles et droites mais rejetées par rapport à l'axe de la croix sur la gauche. Le périzonium est drapé, retenu sur le flanc gauche par un noeud qui forme une retombée. L'anatomie du corps est très marquée.
