Historique :	Il s'agirait d'une oeuvre de dévotion privée étant donné les dimensions modestes. Elle rappelle, par la présence des trois grands anges, le tableau intitulé La cuisine de la Vierge conservé en l'église aurillacoise Notre-Dame-aux-Neiges (PM15000098).

Précision sur_l'état :	Restauration effectuée en juin 1987 par Yves Morvan qui a fait disparaître tous les repeints 19e siècle : le Christ en croix et la partie haute de la toile.
Précision_sur la protection :	Arrêté : Crucifixion à huit personnages, huile sur toile, 17e siècle.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le Christ enfant est emmailloté à l'auvergnate dans son berceau et voit se presser au-dessus de lui trois grands anges à gauche, et à droite un moine dominicain (saint Dominique ?), la Vierge tenant ses mains jointes et saint Joseph. En haut à gauche trois têtes d'angelots ailés assistent à la scène éclairée par un rayon de lumière.
