Historique :	Attribuée par P. Roudié à F. Lombard, puis par Mme Perez plutôt à Guy François, mais sans certitude, cette toile est de toute façon issue de cette école de peintres locaux du 17e siècle. La date de 1650, découverte par la restauration, inclinerait à penser qu'il s'agit plutôt d'une Oeuvre de F. Lombard (l'année 1650 étant celle de la mort de G. François). Mais de nombreux détails nous permettent de rapprocher ce tableau de ceux de Guy François, en particulier des Adorations des bergers de Gannat (Allier) et de Saint-Bonnet (Puy-de-Dôme). Ce tableau provient certainement d'un des couvents de la ville.
