Historique :	Oeuvre inscrite comme copie du 19e siècle de la Descente de croix de Van Dyck. Monogramme attestant de sa nouvelle attribution, découvert en 1992, lors de sa restauration, qui permit également de supprimer les repeints de pudeur. Proche de la Descente de croix du même peintre publiée en 1986 par Matias Diaz Padron, elle pourrait avoir été donnée à l'église de Naucelles au 19e siècle par le Docteur Rames, amateur de peintures, qui fit d'autres dons à l'église.
