Historique :	Girion J. (doreur) 1735 ; Boyer A. (sculpteur) pour les statues ; Pouderoux J. (menuisier de Murat) pour les statues, commandes de 1702. Les statues ont été peintes et dorées en 1735. Mais le Christ et les décors sont antérieurs (boiseries XVe s., Christ : XVIIe s.). D'après . Bouyssou, Jean Girion de Chaudesaigues apparait dans un prix fait de 1735 pour l'autel calvaire à Bredons. Il devait peindre en noir et décorer des ornements dorés, la boiserie, faire la dorure et le glacis de trois statues qui sont au pied de la croix. D'après Mme Missonnier de Mauriac, les boiseries pourraient provenir des stalles du chapitre de Saint-Chamant et avoir été le dais de la chaise du Prieur (sources manuscrites privées).
